The Making of Voodoo Tiki
Voodoo Tiki Tequila is a 100% Weber blue agave, ultra-premium tequila distilled in the small Mexican town of Capilla de Guadalupe in the “Corazón de Los Altos” region of Jalisco. The area is known for producing top-knotch agave plants, which are allowed to grow for 10 years. Once harvested the pinas are steamed slowly in hornos (controlled ovens) for 50-72 hours, until the desired sweet agave flavor is reached. The baked agave is then pressed to release its sweet juices, which are then fermented, distilled twice and barreled as tequila.

  2. hey ben, pal i can provide you with some nice n authentic recipes, as you have asked. here are some:

    Classic Margarita

    2 ounces tequila
    1 ounce Triple Sec
    1/2 ounce Mexican lime juice
If you want a lighter Margarita:
    1.5 ounces tequila
    3/4 ounce Triple Sec
1/2 to 1 ounce Mexican lime juice

Combine the ingredients in a cocktail shaker with finely crushed ice. Pour the mixture into a salt-rimmed margarita or martini glass. If you want a strong agave flavor use a Blanco tequila. For a milder taste use Reposado.

    Tequila Sunrise

    2 measures of ice-cold tequila
    4 measures of orange juice
    1 measure of grenadine

Pour orange juice in a highball glass and then pour the ice-cold tequila, slowly tilting the glass to get a layered effect. Trickle grenadine on top. You should get a perfect sunrise. Garnish stirrer, straw and cherry-orange.

  4. I second you Maria 'cos I tried their desert rose flavor at a cocktail party sometime ago, and have been looking for a bottle ever since. You see, my job involves frequent traveling and I'm right in in Cairo. Don't think they sell Voodoo Tiki here :(
